Colour is effective in helping to create the two worlds and show the theme "looks can be deciening!
The real word study ueses a colour palette predominetly of greys, whites, and blues. This ceate a cold, lonely and boring atmosphere.the director did this to show that coralind is unhappy in the real world and the real fathere is to buesy to spend time with her.The use of a cold matural light re-enforces this mood.juxtoposed to thsi is the  ues of colour in the outher world study. vibrant reds, oranges and yellows makes the room feel warm, safe and cosy. selick uesd this palette to show that coraline is happire in the other world where the other father has time for her. This shows that looks can be decieving becasue coraline mistakes the brite perfect world for a safe places when realy it is a trap.
